Press Release: 10-year Board member succeeds Denis Gilardi
July 1, 2016 | Local non-profit Hospice by the Bay named Kenneth Meislin as Chair of its Board of Directors on June 30. Meislin succeeds Dennis A. Gilardi.
Meislin joined the board in 2006 and, in 2007, was appointed chair of the Capital Campaign Committee and led a successful fundraising effort for agency’s new headquarters in Larkspur. Most recently, he served as Vice Chair of the Board.
He is a Principal at Meislin Investments and is currently with ARA, a Newmark company, specializing in the purchase, rehabilitation and sale of large apartment properties. He graduated from San Francisco State University, earning a degree in Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate. He lives in Mill Valley with his wife, Vera.
“I am excited and honored to work hand in hand with our talented CEO, Kitty Whitaker, and to lead our exceptional board,” said Meislin, “Because I was touched by the loss of a sibling at the age of five, I personally understand how end of life issues can have huge significance. In the future, I expect that hospice is likely to play a greater role in health care, which will reshape our role in the community. I am extremely proud to be part of Hospice by the Bay, and look forward to furthering our extraordinary mission.”
Also voted into office at the June 30th meeting were Michael R. Dailey, Vice Chair; Patricia A. Kendall, Secretary; and Michael A. Kadel, Treasurer.
