Hiking and Grief – Rodeo Beach
Join us for this free two-hour group on Friday, May 17, starting at Rodeo Beach in the Marin Headlands.
In this counselor-led hiking group, we’ll explore beginner to intermediate trails with other adults who’ve experienced the loss of a close family member or friend. Sharing of stories and insights is welcome, but not required.
We will be meeting at the Rodeo Beach parking lot, which provides free parking. There are restroom facilities at this meeting spot as well as a water fountain. Please come prepared with shoes that are appropriate for walking/hiking, a water bottle, snack if desired, sunscreen, and layers. We will be leaving promptly at 10 a.m., so arriving 15 minutes early is encouraged. Please note there is very limited cell phone coverage in the Marin Headlands.
Pre-registration is required. This one-time grief support group is offered free-of-charge to the community. Individual and family counseling also available. To register, call (415) 526.5699 or email: [email protected]
Directions: Take the Alexander Ave exit from Highway 101. Enter the Marin Headlands through the one way tunnel on Bunker Road. After the tunnel, keep on Bunker Road for approximately 3 miles. Parking for Rodeo Beach is at the end of this road. Follow signage to Rodeo Beach. We will meet at Rodeo Beach near the public restrooms.
